A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I started playing the Great Highland bagpipe at age 12, inspired by my musically talented parents and a deep love for sound. My journey began with the Kansas City St. Andrew Pipes and Drums and grew through years of instruction under incredible mentors like Dr. Donald McBride, Willie McCallum, and Brian Donaldson. Today, I’m proud to play with the Grade 1 City of Dunedin Pipe Band and to have performed at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow—an unforgettable milestone in my piping career.
Beyond performing, I’m a composer, recording artist, and audio engineer with a passion for blending tradition and creativity. My original music has been played around the world, and I love bringing it to life through my recordings, YouTube channel, and performances with The Biscuit Boys and the Kansas City St. Andrew Pipes and Drums. As a teacher and manager at J. Higgins Ltd., I’m dedicated to sharing Scottish music, craftsmanship, and culture while helping new pipers find their own voice—right here in Kansas City and beyond.
